2025 - Gravel Earth Series Event

We continued to build on our direction, further developing both the race format and our international presence together with Gravel Earth Series. The event centre moved to Šlokenbeka Manor, adding a unique atmosphere, while the roads of Tukums region – Latvia’s gravel paradise – remained at the heart of the experience. The start line welcomed 300 riders from 22 countries, confirming the event’s growth and its place on the international gravel calendar. The winners were Sophie Wright and Piotr Havik. A special moment for us was seeing Toms Skujiņš at the start, choosing our event after competing in the Tour de France. But even more importantly, this was the year when many participants – both local and international – became true friends, returning not only for the race, but for the community.

2024 - Gravel Earth Series EVENT

This year marked our international breakthrough as we joined the Gravel Earth Series, putting the roads of Tukums region on the global gravel map. Riders from 17 countries took part, including Canada, the USA, Australia, Kenya, and Rwanda, giving the event a truly international feel. The format evolved as well – a Friday evening prologue was introduced, followed by the main races of 134 km and 67 km on Saturday. For the first time, the event centre was located in the heart of Tukums city, bringing the experience even closer to people. As Tobias Kongstad put it, this is where you feel the true gravel spirit. It was no longer just a race, but a place to meet, with additional activities for riders and their supporters, creating a true weekend community experience.

2023 - Latvian gravel nationals

After a successful debut in 2022, we were entrusted with organising the first Latvian Gravel Championships – a strong vote of confidence from the Latvian Cycling Federation and an important step in our development. The event took place on the roads of the Tukums region, Latvia’s gravel paradise, where we offered a wider range of distances: 115 km, 60 km, 49 km, and 22 km. A total of 180 riders lined up at the start, raising the level of competition. The course was demanding – over 1,000 meters of elevation per 100 km and almost no truly flat sections. It was a fair test for the strongest riders, yet despite the intensity of a national championship, the atmosphere remained friendly, supportive, and true to the gravel spirit.

2022 - Giant gravel race

Our first organised race took place on the roads of the Tukums region, which we have called Latvia’s gravel paradise from day one. We chose a simple yet well-thought-out format with a 25 km loop and two distances – 100 km and 25 km – allowing us to begin our journey in race organisation with relatively limited resources. A total of 93 brave riders lined up at the start, ready for the unknown and a new adventure. After 10 days of rain, parts of the course turned into a true test of survival, with some sections becoming nearly unrideable. It was our first big lesson – when planning a course, you have to be ready for all weather conditions. But more importantly, it was about coming together – shared laughs, smiles at the finish, and the feeling that something special had just begun.
